Astrological Timing

Is your Dasha failing you or are you misreading the transit?

Is your Vimshottari Dasha failing you or are you misreading the transit? Discover how immediate planetary friction interacts with major astrological periods in Jyotish. — Oracular

Look at the sky right now. Sun is entering Virgo, and we've got Moon sitting in Jyeshtha. It’s a tense energy.

I see so many people obsessing over their Vimshottari Dasha, waiting for a specific sub-period to fix their lives. They treat the Mahadasha like a static prison sentence. But let’s be real for a second.

If you're in a supposedly 'lucky' period but the current transit of Saturn in Pisces or Jupiter in Cancer is hitting your 8th or 12th house, what actually happens? Does the Dasha override the transit, or do they collide in a way we’re not tracking correctly?

I’ve been crunching the timing on this. We talk about the major periods as the climate and transits as the weather, but I’m starting to think the weather can actually change the climate if it’s severe enough.

Are we putting too much weight on the Dasha lords and ignoring the immediate friction of a tough transit? I want to know if you've seen a 'good' period completely stalled by a minor transit hit. Don't give me the textbook answer. Give me what you've actually tracked in your own charts. It's time we stop ignoring the conflict between these two systems.
