Is debilitated Mars in Ashlesha really as bad as they say?
Look at the current sky. Mars is sitting in Cancer, specifically in Ashlesha nakshatra. We’re constantly told that Mars in Cancer is weak, chaotic, or inherently destructive because of its fall. But is it actually weak, or are we misreading the intensity?
Ashlesha is ruled by the Nagas. It’s sharp, piercing, and hidden. When Mars hits that first degree of the Gandanta zone or sits deep in the coils of the serpent, it doesn't just lose power. It changes how it functions.
I’ve watched clients panic when their Vimshottari Dasha hits a period governed by a 'debilitated' planet. They expect failure. But Mars in Ashlesha is a tactical predator, not a soldier in an open field. It’s reactive and deeply protective of what it deems its own.
Are we too fixated on dignity scores that we miss the actual behavior of the planet in these sensitive nakshatras? I don’t buy the idea that a planet in its fall is just a dormant void. It’s often where people show their most desperate, cunning strength.
What’s your take? Does your chart reflect the textbook debilitation, or have you found this placement to be a quiet, hidden weapon in your own life?
