Do houses really matter if the planets define the outcome?

I'm looking at the sky right now and thinking about our obsession with the twelve houses.

We focus so much on the house placements, but in modern Western practice, we lean heavily into the planetary dynamics themselves. When I see the Sun and Jupiter mingling in Leo, it feels more like a direct expression of ego and expansion than some rigid house-based constraint.

It makes me wonder: if the planets are the actors, are the houses just a static stage that we’re giving too much credit?

I’ve been checking these current alignments on SkyToday to see how these transits are shaping up without the typical baggage we usually carry. It’s a shift in perspective. If we stopped looking at the chart as a set of rooms to visit and started seeing it as a pure energy interplay, would we understand our own lives better?

Or are we just ignoring the container that holds the chaos together?
