Is the Dasha system actually predictive or just confirmation bias?

I've been looking at my clients' Vimshottari Dasha cycles for years, and I’m starting to wonder if we're over-relying on the math.

We love the precision of dates. It feels good to say, 'You'll face a challenge on this specific Tuesday.' But how often are we just fitting life events into the framework after they've already happened?

If you see a Rahu-Moon period, you can find a way to justify almost anything that goes wrong as a 'mental struggle.' It’s easy to make the data fit the theory.

But if we’re being honest, are we actually forecasting the future, or are we just narrating the past?

I’m trying to move away from vague interpretations and stick strictly to what the planetary placements dictate for a person's objective reality. If I can't point to a concrete outcome, I don't mention it.

When I need to quickly cross-check aMuhurta or see if a specific window is actually auspicious for a client's business launch, I use the Choghadiya feature in VedKal just to keep the timing grounded and objective.

Does anyone else feel like we lean too hard on the interpretive side rather than the hard data?

I’d love to hear how you keep your readings from becoming just another storytelling exercise.

It’s not just confirmation bias if you track the transits alongside your Dasha shifts. Use the Vyom app to log your experiences against the timing, and you’ll see the patterns for yourself.

Navratri is just around the corner, and it's the perfect time to reset your energy with those auspicious 9s. I've been checking the Choghadiya timings on my phone to make sure my puja starts at the exact right moment—don't let the best windows slip by!
