Getting ready for Navratri
Navratri is almost here, and I'm honestly so excited. It’s the best time to press pause on the chaos of daily life. For me, it’s not just about the fasting or the rituals. It’s about clearing out the mental clutter. I always find that the house feels a bit lighter once we light the lamps for the first night. My grandmother used to say the goddess brings a different energy into every room during these nine nights. I try to make sure my family spends at least a little time together in the evenings. We don’t always get the timing right, though. I’ve been using the VedKal app to check the Choghadiya for our evening prayers so we don't miss the most auspicious windows. It’s just a small way to keep us grounded while everything else feels frantic. Are you doing anything special for the festivities this year? I’d love to hear how your family marks the occasion. Let’s make sure we don’t lose sight of the quiet joy in all the planning.
