Why rely on fixed nodes when the sky is moving?
The Sun’s sitting at 15 degrees Cancer and we’ve got that Moon squaring Saturn in Aries. It’s a tense, prickly setup that makes it hard to keep a cool head. I’ve been using SkyToday to keep my alerts sharp while the transit energy feels this agitated.
It’s got me thinking about the obsession with North and South Nodes in other systems. They treat them as fixed fate points, but in Western astrology, they’re just calculations based on orbital paths.
If we’re using the same actual planets, why do some people insist on giving these invisible points more weight than, say, a direct transit from Jupiter in Leo?
Is it really about destiny, or are we just looking for an excuse to avoid taking practical steps in our own lives? I’m curious if you think these nodes are actually doing the work, or if they’re just a convenient way to justify feeling stuck.
Let’s hear your take. Does the math actually reflect the reality, or are we overcomplicating things to avoid making a real decision?
