Why force a house system that feels like a shortcut?

I'm looking at the sky today and feeling the weight of these transits. The Sun is busy grounding things in Virgo while the Moon in Libra is pushing for balance. It’s practical, it’s clear, and it works. But then I see people obsessing over the Whole Sign house system in Vedic circles, acting like equal houses don't provide any accuracy.

Doesn't it feel a bit rigid to ignore the actual degree of the Ascendant? When I track my own shifts on SkyToday, I prefer to see the exact degree rather than smoothing everything out into one big block. Why are we so attached to a system that assumes every house is exactly thirty degrees wide? It seems like it ignores the physical reality of how we’re positioned on the earth.
