Why are we so obsessed with being 'destined' for greatness?

I’ve been watching the current transits today—Mars in Ashwini and the Moon hanging out in Magha—and it got me thinking. We spend half our lives dissecting birth charts, looking for that golden raj yoga that proves we’re meant for fame or wealth. But let’s be real for a second.

Does dharma actually care about your status?

If you're doing your duty—your actual, uncomfortable work—does it matter if your chart screams 'success' or 'struggle'? I see so many folks waiting for a 'good' transit to finally start living, as if the planets are holding the remote control to their choices. It’s a trap. We use astrology to predict outcomes, but we ignore the effort.

If you’re trying to sync your daily rhythm with the actual energy of the day, I usually check the Choghadiya on VedKal to see if I’m working with or against the grain, but even then, it’s just timing, not an excuse to sit still.

We act like karma is a bank account we’re just waiting to cash out. Maybe it’s not. Maybe it’s just a set of tools you were born with, and your job is to use them without complaining about the design.

What do you think? Are you using your chart to map out your actions, or are you just using it to hunt for a shortcut that doesn't exist?
