Why do we ignore the Antara Dasha?
I've been looking at a few charts lately, and it's bothering me. Everyone is obsessed with the Mahadasha lord. They act like the big cycle is the only thing that matters.
But let's be real. It's the Antara Dasha that actually flips the switch. You can be in a great Jupiter Mahadasha, but if your Antara lord is a functional malefic sitting in your 8th house, you're not going to feel like you're winning.
I see people blaming their entire decade on the Mahadasha, ignoring the shorter, sharper shifts happening right under their noses. Why do we overlook the timing of these sub-periods?
If you aren't tracking when your Antara shifts, you're missing the actual trigger points for change. I usually check my own timing on VedKal to see where the Choghadiya overlaps with these transitions, just to keep things precise.
Are we just being lazy with our calculations? Or is it easier to blame the long cycle instead of doing the work to track the shorter shifts? I want to know if you're actually paying attention to the Antara lords or just riding the Mahadasha wave.
