Is the Dasha system just a glorified trend line?

I've been looking at the numbers lately, and I'm stuck on something.

We treat the Vimshottari Dasha system like it's a fixed roadmap. You hit a period, you expect a specific result. But is it actually predictive, or are we just back-fitting events to fit the timeline after they've already happened?

If you take two people with the same chart, they don't lead the same lives.

I’m trying to figure out where the hard data ends and the interpretation bias begins. We obsess over the Mahadasha, but maybe we’re ignoring how individual choice interacts with these cycles. It’s like looking at a stock chart; you can see the trend, but you can't be sure if the market will crash or rally on a Tuesday.

I’ve been tracking my own entries in the Vyom app to see if my actual experiences align with these cycles, or if I’m just seeing what I want to see.

Does the Dasha force the event, or does it just mark the probability of an environment?

I’d rather have a system that’s actionable than one that’s just a comforting narrative. Let’s hear your thoughts. Are we tracking reality or just patterns?
