Finding Stillness in the Storm of Ardra
It’s July 1st, and the Sun is carving its path through Ardra. This nakshatra is known for its intensity, often bringing a storm before the calm. When the Sun sits here, you might feel a bit of mental turbulence. It’s like the sky before the rain—charged and restless.
Meanwhile, the Moon is resting in Purva Ashadha. It’s looking for victory and deep emotional cleansing. But with Venus simmering in Ashlesha, emotions can feel sharp, almost like a hidden sting. If you’re feeling off, it’s not just in your head. The planetary energy is heavy.
To balance this, I’ve been practicing a simple breath-work technique called Sama Vritti, or square breathing. Inhale for four counts, hold for four, exhale for four, and hold empty for four. It grounds the nervous system while the Sun burns through those Ardra shadows.
If you want to keep track of when to start this practice, check the Choghadiya timings on the VedKal app to find your most auspicious window. Don’t push yourself too hard today. Let the tension pass. Just breathe and watch the currents settle. It’s okay to be still while the world feels like it’s spinning.
