Why are we so obsessed with the Moon?

I’ve been looking at the current transits today. The Moon has just slipped into Libra, landing in Chitra nakshatra. It’s making me think about how much weight we put on our emotional state compared to everything else happening in the sky.

We talk about Saturn’s discipline or Jupiter’s expansion, but we’re constantly governed by how we feel in the moment. It’s like we’re trying to build a stable home while living in a house that’s constantly shifting its foundation.

I’m curious—why do we act like our internal fluctuations are the final word on our destiny? Is the Moon really leading us, or are we just using it as an excuse to avoid the harder work of Mercury and Jupiter in Cancer?

I often check my own timing on the Vyom app just to see if my bad mood lines up with a difficult lunar transit, but maybe that’s just a way to deflect from my own patterns.

Does it actually help to know why you’re feeling heavy, or does it just keep you stuck there longer? I’d love to hear how you handle these lunar shifts when they don't align with your goals.
