Why are we so obsessed with being 'exalted'?
I've been looking at the current skies.
Jupiter’s sitting in Cancer right now, exalted and comfortable. Everyone gets excited when a planet lands in its sign of exaltation, like it’s a golden ticket for our lives. But let's be real—does being 'exalted' actually guarantee we’re doing our dharma?
I see people panic when their chart shows debilitation, as if they’re doomed to fail. It’s funny because some of the most growth-oriented people I’ve met have charts full of struggle. They learn to work harder and stay humble.
A planet in exaltation is just a tool. It's potential energy. It doesn't mean you'll put in the work. You can have the best transit in the world and still waste it if you’re just sitting on the couch waiting for luck to hit.
I’ve been tracking these movements on the Vyom app, and it really puts things into perspective. It shows you the math, but it doesn't do the living for you.
So, I’m curious. Why do we put so much stock in these labels? Is exaltation actually a trap that makes us lazy, or am I just being cynical?
Let's hear your take. How do you view these 'high' and 'low' points in your own practice?
